Equipping the Next
Generation for a Digital Future
At HighUpWeb Foundation we believe that the future of Cameroon depends on the digital readiness of its youth. In a world where technology drives every sector, too many young people are still left without the skills or access they need to thrive. Our Youth Digital Skills Bootcamps are designed to change that—empowering secondary school leavers, university students, job seekers, and aspiring tech enthusiasts with the digital tools and mindset needed for today’s opportunities.
These intensive, free bootcamps provide hands-on, practical training in core ICT areas. Through a mix of workshops, guided tutorials, and real-world projects, participants learn to move from being digital consumers to confident creators, innovators, and future professionals.
What Participants Learn
Each bootcamp is carefully structured to offer foundational and career-ready digital skills. Topics covered include:
Microsoft Office Tools
Graphic Design
Web Development
Database Administration
Cybersecurity
Video Editing
Data Analytics
Cloud Computing
AI for Business
Sessions are engaging, youth-centered, and aligned with real-world applications, giving learners not only skills, but also the confidence to apply them in school, work, or creative pursuits.
Why This Matters
In many communities, youth lack exposure to computer education due to poor infrastructure, limited resources, or financial hardship. Our bootcamps break down those barriers by providing free access to training, computers, internet, mentorship, and a supportive learning space.
With these skills, participants are better prepared to excel in academic settings, explore freelancing or entrepreneurship, apply for tech-related jobs or internships, and help their families and communities adapt to the digital age.
Who Can Participate
The Youth Digital Skills Bootcamps are open to youth aged 14–35, including students, school leavers, and unemployed young adults. The program is especially ideal for participants with little to no digital background who are motivated to learn and grow.
Priority is given to internally displaced youths and those from underserved communities. No prior ICT knowledge is required, just a willingness to learn.
How It Works
Bootcamps typically run for 2-3 months with daily sessions held at HighUpWeb Academy in Carrefour EMIA, Yaoundé. Learners benefit from instructor-led classes, collaborative group projects, and hands-on access to training devices and free internet.
At the end of the program, participants receive a certificate of participation to acknowledge their new skills. To join an upcoming bootcamp, youth can register online or visit the Academy in person. Parents and community leaders are also encouraged to refer motivated learners.
